mission of WellnessKansas.com and Soaring Hawk Life Skills
to provide supportive, life changing services through the
use of holistic approaches that address the impact of the
person’s wide-spread environment and the elements of being
human.

About Me
I work with
people from all walks of life as they learn how to affect
successful change in their lives. My training and life
experiences help me identify talents, strengths, and
unique-nesses within every person; these qualities provide
the foundation for individual growth. By experiencing
diverse and eclectic therapeutic modalities, clients empower
themselves in a safe and warm environment as each has the
opportunity to rediscover their inner personal strengths.
I offer the opportunity for personal growth on all levels:
mind, body, emotionally, and spiritually. Additionally, I
offer solutions to those who seek resolution as they face
life’s challenges in order to confront and overcome those
challenges.
I provide
the ultimate in confidentiality in a safe, non-intrusive
space for individuals, couples, and families where they
learn how to be "good enough" while accepting the challenges
the world has brought to them. I
am trained and licensed to treat a broad spectrum of mental
health issues and work with a diverse clientele.
I am a
Licensed Specialist in Clinical Social Work and a
Certified Heart Centered Hypnotherapist. My training
includes advanced training in hypnotherapy, play
therapy, family systems, solution focused therapy,
cognitive behavioral, and special concerns unique to
rural areas, and others. I implement these,
and a variety of other traditional therapeutic theories
and modalities, in my practice to match the client’s
needs and desires for results.
Qualifications:
Hypnotherapy: Certified by Wellness Institute,
Issaquah WA in Heart Centered Hypnotherapy. Currently
attending on-going intensive 2-year internship.
Graduate School: Kansas University, Master in Social Work, Lawrence KS.
Undergraduate: Kansas State
University, Manhattan KS Bachelor in Social Work
Fort Hays
State University, Hays Kansas, Bachelor of Science.
Many
Post Graduate courses including Play Therapy, Solution
Focused Therapies, Childhood Disorders, Conscious
Discipline, Behavior Disorders, Neuro-social Disorders.

Business Procedures
Because the nature of a therapeutic process is deeply personal, it is
imperative that we work together to build a relationship based on
feelings of safety, respect, and trust. In the beginning I will work
with you to discuss your concerns, mutually set goals, and discuss
expectations for outcomes. Therapy can be, at times, a highly emotional
experience for the client due to the depth of personal sharing and
insights gained. There may be increased confusion and anxiety during
this process. This is to be expected in the process of personal growth
and enhancing life skills. I will be there to assist you.
Confidentiality: Your records are the property of Soaring Hawk Life
Skills and shall be treated as confidential and kept in a locked file.
To comply with state and federal laws regarding client confidentiality
your records and information will not be released without the properly
executed written consent. The social work profession protects the
therapeutic relationship through laws of privilege in the event of court
involvement. Computer files are also confidential and kept on
individual computer. Everything about your care will be held in the
strictest of confidence. All sessions, including telephone, direct
contact, and email are kept confidential with the exception which I am
required by law to report:
