Clothing. Wear comfortable clothing that enables you to move easily.  You may also choose to take your shoes off during the session.
 
Recording.  If you would like a recording of your session,
bring a blank audio cassette tape or recording device with you.  This is encouraged.
 
You will be asked to lie down for the session to allow maximum comfort.
 
Time.  Your hypnotherapy session will last about 90 minutes.  A brief interview will preface the hypnosis, followed by an induction to the trance state, therapeutic work, and healing.  You may stay as long as you like, but little interaction will occur immediately following the session.  Processing your session is very personally empowering.  This therapist does not desire to hinder that process, nor influence personal truth in any way.
 
Trance states are normal. The trance state is a normal everyday occurrence.  Anyone can be hypnotized. We spend about 80% of our day in such a state.  Examples can include driving a car, watching TV or a computer screen, or any time your eyes are “fixed” on something for a length of time.  Just like those times, during the session you are aware of your surroundings. Your senses are fully functioning (and perhaps even heightened), you can speak, and move.
 
You will be aware and conscious.  You will remember and know what occurs during your session.  You will always hear my voice and be able to wake yourself up if you want to.  You will not be unconscious.
 
Hypnosis is used for healing therapy.  This is a therapeutic session.  You will not be asked to cluck like a chicken or any other silly thing.  In fact, any suggestion made while in a hypnotic state may be rejected by the client.  Hypnosis will allow you to be in complete control of your mind better.  This very empowering process of Heart Centered Hypnotherapy allows the client to find the answers within.
 
Spiritual Connection.  You will be asked if you have a spiritual connection.  There is no religious judgment; this is only to bring power and comfort to you.  Hypnosis is like a state of prayer or meditation: whatever you focus on, increases in power.  You may focus on God, Light, Mother Earth, Jesus, Buddha, Love; any spiritual connection is encouraged as long as it is yours.
 
What you will learn.  You will not discover anything you are not ready and willing to handle.  The subconscious will only allow information to be revealed to you as you are ready.  Once you have addressed and released it, there is nothing to fear, and you are empowered.
